Frequently asked questions
Some questions come up more often then others, so below we have a list of some common questions with answers.
If you need further information or you have a question not listed please contact our support team who can assist you further.
As some accounts cannot be directly journalled to, most notably the default inventory account, you will need to set up an inventory account for PBSA to write your journals into and use this account number in the chart of accounts.
In the bottom section of your incoming good there is a drop down that will default to Normal, this can be changed to pending or omit.
When this is set to pending you will not be able to export past the date of this incoming good, and is used when you need to check it is accurate before exporting this data.
Omit will prevent the data being exported to Xero, this is used in cases such as opening stock when first tracking stock on a range of goods that you have already processed the supplier invoices in Xero and prevents double up.
You can read further about this in our Incoming Goods section.
This will depend on how your chart of accounts is set up, and if you are using integrated Eftpos.
In the case of non-integrated Eftpos we will export each card type to the account number you have provided in the chart of accounts.
However if you are using integrated Eftpos, as we don't get informed by most Eftpos providers of the card type, these are exported as a single journal to the account based on your chart of accounts. In the case your provider pays each card separately to reconcile these you simply need to verify the total of those payments into your account match the journal exported from PBSA POS accounting for any transaction fees your provider may have taken out.
By default PBSA POS will export all f your direct deposits as a single journal to be reconciled as a total, however as shown below you can enable this setting to export them separately if this works best for your method of reconciling them against payments made into your bank accounts. This can be enabled or disabled at any time, as your needs change as well.
